What is ExamBuilder?
ExamBuilder is a Web-based application that lets you easily create and administer exams over the Internet. It features a user-friendly interface designed for busy executives who want to quickly upload exams and check results between meetings. Best of all, it all works within a standard browser over the Internet.
How is ExamBuilder a managed solution?
We take care of backups, security, firewall settings, Windows patches, Java updates, server maintenance and database administration. All technology resides at our state-of-the-art data center in Dallas, Texas.
How long will it take me to set up?
You can create your first exam and administer it in less than an hour.
What kind of organizations use ExamBuilder?
Since ExamBuilder allows organizations to create exams using their own content, our customer base contains companies of all sizes and spreads across a very wide range of industries. This includes the Fortune 500 and government agencies, as well as national associations and firms with only a hundred employees.
Is ExamBuilder geared toward continuing education or certification?
Both. We offer 2 types of exam templates, one frequently used for continuing education and the other often used for certification.
Where does the content come from?
You create and manage your own content. This means that you can update your exam at any time without relying on help from a third party.
Can exams be timed?
Yes; you can easily set a time limit on an exam.
Does ExamBuilder support self-registration for students?
Yes; there are a whole suite of tools of time-saving features.
Is ExamBuilder available on CD-ROM?
No, it is only offered as a managed solution.
How is ExamBuilder priced?
Our pricing is based on the number of students per year who will be taking exams. We don't charge per exam, only per student. Since we don't charge for exam retakes, we require that licenses are non-transferable; you cannot substitute one student for another during the term of the license. Does ExamBuilder sell its client list?
Without exception, NO! ExamBuilder keeps all individual member information, including e-mail addresses and the exam results of its customers, completely private.
Can I run ExamBuilder on our company Intranet?
No, ExamBuilder is only available as a hosted solution.
Can ExamBuilder be customized to meet the needs of my organization?
YES. We have created customized modules for many of our clients. For example, we have written modules that: automate delivery of results to client databases, customize self-registration screens and add e-commerce functionality so that exams can be purchased.
