Knowledge Gaps

With just one click, real-time analytics can be delivered to display a department's performance on a specific question, or a sales region's score on a topic within an exam.

This is perhaps the reporting ecosystem's greatest strength; the ability to group your students by region, department, job function (or custom category) and look at "slices" of data. Segmenting your data highlights knowledge gaps — pockets of weakness within your organization that you never knew existed. These can then be addressed by retraining.

Quick Reports

ExamBuilder provides 5 Quick Reports, a fast and easy way to track exam status across the entire organization by a variety of criteria.

1. Snapshot Report. This reports displays all students who completed a specific exam along with scores and completion dates. You can filter the data returned by:
1. Passing or failing scores
2. Group (i.e., functional unit or geographic area)
3. Date range
2. Multi-Exam Report. Some organizations require users to pass a set of exams. This report allows you to easily see who passed (or did not pass) an exam set.
3. Group Analysis Report. This report provides a rapid view of how different groups performed on an exam (region, department, country, or other criteria). Are scores higher in California or England? This report will tell you.
4. Date Range Report. Select a date range and bring back all results for the selected time period. Which students completed exams in March? What exams did they complete?
5. In Progress Report. Which students haven't completed an assigned exam? You want names? We've got 'em. You can filter results by class as well.

Creating Exams

You'll find a suite of easy to use, yet powerful tools in this section that will allow you to create and manage your exams. There are 2 exam templates:

1. Certification. Used for high stakes exams
2. Click and Learn. Used for pre-testing, this template allows multiple attempts to successfully answer a question with optional instructor feedback based on response

1. Time limits
2. Addition of inline images
3. Waiting period between retakes

Randomization

By default, ExamBuilder delivers all questions to the student in random order and scrambles the multiple-choice answers to ensure the integrity of the results. However, either or both of these randomization options can be toggled off. You can also deliver a percentage of the total questions you create to further randomize the exam.

Automated Tasks

1. Automate exam retakes. You can automatically reschedule students who fail an exam for a retake
2. Auto Schedule. This feature will automatically schedule everyone in your account to take an exam
3. Email Invitation. An email can be sent to your students alerting them that they are scheduled to take an exam

Grouping Students

ExamBuilder offers extensive grouping capabilities designed to provide you with greater flexibility in:

• Organizing your students
• Scheduling exams
• Generating statistical reports on specific demographics within the overall population

Registration

There are 2 ways students can be placed into your instructor account:

1. There is an simple web based form you can use to add students to the system. This screen also has drop-down menus that can be used to put the student into groups (department, region, etc.)
2. Self-registration. Students can self-register for ExamBuilder if you enable this feature in your instructor preferences. To use this option, you provide your students with a registration code that links them to your account.
   
   You can also allow students assign themselves to groups during the self-registration process. This feature can be used in coordination with auto exam scheduling so that after students self-register, their exams are waiting for them upon login

ExamBuilder has many ways to schedule students for exams, each designed to save you time and improve efficiency.

Auto Exam Scheduling

If there is an exam that everyone in your account is required to take, you can set an exam property to automatically schedule everyone in your account to take the exam. If you enable this you will never worry that someone is not scheduled to take an exam.

Manual Scheduling

If one of the automated scheduling options isn't applicable, you can always manually schedule a student to take or retake an exam. Manually scheduling can override the other options. This section gives you pin-point control over a student's exam history; you can add time to existing exams or delete specific exam attempts if you desire.

Awarding Certificates

ExamBuilder completely automates the process of creating and awarding certificates to your students.

Many organizations are tasked with issuing certificates of completion to candidates who successfully meet a set of requirements. ExamBuilder has integrated the process of creating and awarding certificates into our core product, making this endeavor fast, easy and cost effective.

Certificate Delivery

Your students download the certificates as a PDF file from the student testing section.
